Baby Dragon Thank You Card
Hello, hello! Clearly Besotted recently released an amazing series of stamps so I caved and got myself some new cuties but guess who else came home with me?
Like, seriously, who could resist baby dragons? I have been eyeing on them since they were out in March and I am so glad I brought them home with me! These were stamped in Versafine in Onyx Black and coloured with Copic Markers. I created a hole-y background by running a sheet of Classic Crest Solar White card stock through my Big Shot machine with Sizzix Bigz Circle Die. Using the negative, I lightly traced the circles using a pencil on another piece of Solar White card stock so I knew where to add colours to. I blended Candied Apple, Mustard Seed and Evergreen Bough in random circles.
I then adhered the negative over it with a layer of foam tape, and filled two of the negative spaces with the circle die-cuts. I also popped up the baby dragons with two layers of foam tape. The scallop frame die was from Die-namics 20 while the sentiment was from Really Big Thanks. For extra dimension, I die-cut the word “thanks” twice from a black card stock and silver heat-embossed the rest on a vellum, which was then mounted on another piece of black card stock. I embellished the card with some clear droplets.
This card is my second entry to the five-stage CASometry Challenge 2 by the talented Anna. She came up with the idea of making five cards with one stamp set – which I think is BRILLIANT (for my wallet, too)! Check out my first entry here.
Thank you for stopping by and see you soon!
