See-through Shaker Card
Hello, hello! I mentioned in my last blog post how much I enjoyed the Online Card Classes: Clear & Sheer, and I am back today to share another card inspired by it.
I first blended Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade on a piece of Classic Crest Solar White, which was then die-cut using a scalloped border die. To create the see-through window, I ran it through a Stitched Rectangle die. I also cut out a window on my card base using the same die. I then decided I wanted a border around the window to create a more polished look, so I die-cut two frames using the Pierced Rectangle Frame die from a white textured card stock. In total, I used four layers of foam tapes for the shaker pocket to allow the sequins to move freely.
I stamped a kitty face as well as its back and a cushion with Versafine in Onyx Black and coloured with Copic markers. I kept the shading and colours to a minimum so it would not be competing with the vibrant background. To give the kitty extra dimension, I embellished it with Glossy Accents. The sentiment from Ella & Friends was stamped on the inside of the card. It was at this point that I decided to add more interest in the background by clear embossing some paw prints from the Playful Pups set.
Thanks for stopping by and see you soon!
