Heat Embossing With Stencil

Hello, hello! I am back today with a card starring three little munchkins in pajamas designed by Elena from Just Me. These images were meant for Christmas but if you are like me, gingerbread cookies are welcome in the household anytime of the year!

I printed the images out on a piece of Neenah Solar White card stock, and coloured them in with watered down distress inks. The window openings were die-cuts of Pierced Square Frames in coloured card stocks. I adhered them together with Multi Medium Matte and foam tapes. For extra dimension, I coated the drinks and frosting on the gingerbread cookie with Glossy Accent.

I gently pressed my Versamark ink pad against a stencil and heat embossed in white detail embossing powder to create the brick wall background. This is one of my current favourite techniques and I simply love how it stretches the use of my supplies. I also blended a little bit of Hickory Smoke over the heat embossed background to achieve a soft grunge look. The speech bubbles were from Small Talk.

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon!

Hugs, Michelle
