Always In My Mind
Hello, hello! Been pretty occupied with my visiting family and I am so thankful we were blessed with a warm Autumn this time around so most things went just as planned. TWO WEEKS – that’s how long I have not been crafting. Starting to feel a little rusty here…until the postman delivered THIS to my doorstep! As always, Elena never disappoints!
I stamped the little girl and little boy on a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card stock with Versafine in Onyx Black and started colouring away with my Copic markers. Since there was no design in mind yet, I used colours inspired by the MFT Color Challenge 42, hoping that inspiration would start flowing in.
To help put together a card, I summoned the help of another trusty crafty friend – the MFT Sketch Challenge! These challenges are my favourite go-tos during my time in need (especially after abandoning crafting for a long, long time). I first created a window out of a patterned paper using the biggest die from the Flower Circles die set by Waffle Flower. I then ran the same die over a white card stock and popped up the outer part with foam tapes. This is then adhered to a blue card base using the 2-way Glue by Zig. I added a thin strip of black card stock right next to it for added visual interest.
After adhering the children on the card base, I white-embossed the sentiment on a piece of black card stock and snuck it underneath the puppy plushie. That finishes off my card.
Thank you for stopping by and see you soon!
Hugs, Michelle
