Notecards + Random Acts of Kindness

Hello, hello! If you follow me on Instagram – which you totally should 🙂 – I shared snippets of a mini “secret” project I have been working on. Well, today I am here to share with you more information about the project!

Before I proceed, the Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge kicked off on 1st of February and do look up #thedailymarker30day on all social media for inspirations!

For this mini project, I prepared a stack of notecards with the Stitched Rectangle Die-namics using Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. All of these cards contain positive messages which aim to (hopefully) motivate and brighten up the recipients’ days. Oh, did I mention they were meant for random strangers?

Images used were from Mama Elephant’s Cupcake Carnival, Ella & Friends, Playful Pups and Happy Everything, as well as Amy Tangerine’s Day Dream and coloured with Copic markers. I also blended distress inks over stencils from Echo Park Paper and Studio Calico to add texture to the backgrounds.

Once the colouring was completed, I handwrote a short note behind each card, which essentially read “Enjoy this random act of kindness!”. I thought this was timely as we celebrate Valentine’s Day over the weekend. So, after slotting the cards into protective bags (I used the bead storage plastic bags), off I went to roam the streets and sneakily slide each card under the windscreen wiper of random parked cars!

There you go – a little secret that I have been keeping for a while now! These notecards are by no means fancy gifts, but I hope that they put a smile on somebody’s face. By the way, the official Random Acts of Kindness Week is happening from 14th to 20th February. Let’s throw kindness around like confetti!

Hope you find some inspiration from today’s post. Happy Valentine’s Day and have a weekend full of love!

Thank you for stopping by and see you soon!

Hugs, Michelle
