Love Is In the Air + The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge

Hello, hello! Hope it is nice and warm where you are. It has been scorching hot here in New Zealand. Not that I am complaining as I would most definitely prefer a day in summer than winter.

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I could not help but to whip up cards celebrating love. Today’s card background was created using the Woodgrain stencil by Echo Park Paper. I blended in the distress ink in Antique Linen on a textured cream card.

The critters were from Cupcake Carnival by Mama Elephant which was coloured using Copic markers on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White and then fussy-cut. The heart-shaped balloons were die-cuts from the retired Owl Heart Tree set by Memory Box on patterned papers. I popped them up on the card using double-sided foam tapes.

For the sentiment, I formed the words using Bella Letters by Mama Elephant. To draw attention to the sentiment, I cut the woodgrain background into two and placed the words right in the center. Finally, I secured some paper strings to the balloons and gave them a sleek finish with Glossy Accents by Ranger.

I would also like to share some good news with you: I will be taking part in The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge come February 1st! If you are new to this, this is the fourth installment of this empowering challenge by the amazing colouring guru Kathy Racoosin, during which she will be sharing creations, tips, techniques, and of course, GIVEAWAYS on her social media for – you guessed it – THIRTY DAYS CONSECUTIVELY! Be sure to check her out and I assure you that you would leave asking for more of her brilliant art pieces! Any questions regarding the challenge will be answered here. Let’s keep each other motivated throughout the challenge this time!

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon!

Hugs, Michelle
